Gender equality in the Nordics has come much further than in most other parts of the world, but there is still room for improvement.

One of the greatest challenges is equal pay for men and women. Embriq focuses on men and women in the company achieving the same salaries for the same positions. The low number of women in the IT industry is also a challenge. To contribute to changing this trend, Embriq wishes to recruit, retain and develop more women in the company.

We have set ourselves the long-term goal of increasing the percentage of women in the company from 14% in 2021 to 22% by 2025. To reach this goal, our job advertisements and interviews have to reflect the fact that we seek diversity and equality within the company. Our development of managerial staff focuses on managers becoming increasingly aware of unconscious bias in the recruitment process.

Embriq is a leading strategic advisor and supplier of advanced IT solutions to the energy industry. Our solutions contribute to the roll-out of the green transition and electrification of society. Our technology enables the power companies to streamline their operation and maintenance of the power grid.

Embriq provides the Quant system platform which helps the power companies to retain an overview of capacity and bottlenecks in their networks, address and solve voltage challenges and power outages as well as identify and plan for repair of earth faults. Powercatch is a work order system that ensures that maintenance and expansion of the power grid takes place as efficiently as possible.

Our solutions in IT Managed Services assist our customers with guidance and advice on how to manage and store data in the most resource-efficient way, e.g. by secure management of the required data volumes with the lowest possible climate footprint.

In order to promote a sustainable future, we want to include young people in the job market. Embriq is working to reduce the average age in the company to below the age of 40. We have a recruitment strategy for young professionals in place to attract young people to the job market. Recruiting managers and employees undertake courses to learn how better to develop and adapt the company’s human resources. In order to be able to plan recruitment needs, skills requirements and career paths, we continuously invest in employee learning and development.

Embriq’s solutions must contribute to increased resource efficiency and reduced climate footprint for our customers. This is a basic requirement in our development of new solutions.

We have long-standing experience in the operation and digitalisation of socially critical infrastructure, and we continuously develop new solutions adapted to the electrification of society and the green transition. For example, Embriq offers solutions for the collection and analysis of data from sensors and IoT devices that enable our customers to optimise operations and reduce emissions.

Ensure sustainable consumption and production patterns. 

Embriq focuses on responsible procurement and supplier monitoring. We have requirements for production, transport and certification in place. Recycling and reuse are vital in a circular economy. In order to reduce our climate footprint, we have extended the life cycle of our IT equipment significantly. The equipment is also leased which facilitates reuse.

We have a goal of reducing the number of flights taken by 40% by 2022 compared to 2019 levels. This equates on average to approximately one flight per employee in 2022. We also have a goal of migrating a significant number of journeys from cars to public transport solutions. Car journeys are to constitute a maximum of 40% of total transport costs in 2022.
