IN 2022, CEPI decided to start using Atlassian’s products to improve and streamline its internal IT processes. To achieve the best possible implementation and utilisation of Atlassian’s products, including Jira Service Management and Confluence, they entered into an agreement with Embriq

“Embriq can build an integration with Azure in just a few days, a feat several other players claimed was impossible.” – Jon Johansen.

Jon Johansen, Information Technology Manager at CEPI, talks about the collaboration with Embriq.  He says the implementation was structured and well-planned, and everything went very smoothly. After going live, CEPI’s system underwent a period of hypercare, during which Embriq helped fix bugs and make enhancements. Embriq has been good at coming up with smart solutions that meet CEPI’s needs. Among other things, Embriq has helped with adjusting workflows, further developing the asset register, creating of new reports, and improving general functionality.

Purpose of the agreement

The agreement is to establish customised integrations with Atlassian Jira, configure and implement ITIL processes (IT Service Management – ITSM), and implement a structured Wiki solution in Confluence.

Embriq has established an integration to synchronise PC and mobile device information from Azure AD and Intune with Jira Service Manager’s asset database. This makes it easier for CEPI’s IT department to manage and monitor their hardware and ensures better control of the machine fleet.

In preparation, CEPI has developed thorough procedures for managing IT processes based on best practice (ITIL), and Embriq is helping to configure these processes in Jira Service Manager. Through CEPI’s service portal, we handle change requests, incidents, reported problems (problem-requests), and general requests (service requests). All enquiries are routed through proprietary workflows involving a number of built-in, automated processes. This makes case management as efficient and accountable as possible.

At the same time, Confluence has been established as a place to compile documentation, knowledge base articles, and much more. Embriq provides CEPI with templates and assists with best practices. A Confluence-based collaboration portal has also been established with CEPI’s most important suppliers, thus ensuring efficient supplier management.
