“Metering has taken on a whole new level of importance—especially considering today’s electricity prices. That’s one of several reasons why we need higher quality in our measurements, which are used to control the load on our grid,” says Henrik Svensson, Head of Grid Operations at Boo Energi.
“The main reason we chose Quant TP Selma is to ensure that customers receive accurate and correct information—and can manage it effectively. But we also chose the solution for our own sake,” Svensson continues. “With Quant TP Selma, Boo Energi achieves better quality in its metering data.”
Preparing for Quarter-Interval Data
In autumn 2023, Sweden will transition to handling quarter-hour metering values. Svensson emphasizes:
“It was important for us to choose a provider we feel confident in—especially to handle the transition to quarter-interval data.”

Looking Ahead with Quant Insight
Svensson also has high expectations for everything Quant Insight can deliver to their customers:
“With Quant Insight, we’ll be able to inform customers about power outages, something we currently can’t do. We’re looking forward to activating this feature for our customers during 2023.”
Boo Energi also selected Embriq due to the insight and control it provides over solar energy production and electricity losses:
“We want to optimize our operations and maintain better overall control of the power grid. Ultimately, this means delivering higher grid quality to our customers,” says Svensson.
“With Embriq as a partner, we have a provider that understands the impact of solar panels and rapid network expansion. We believe—and hope—that Embriq will support us in this journey,” he concludes.
