Protan’s Need for a Scalable IT Solution

Through this partnership, Embriq becomes an integrated part of Protan’s business, with the goal of modernizing, enhancing, and strengthening Protan’s IT systems. The aim is to support growth and operational efficiency while ensuring that Protan meets its commitments across production, sales, documentation, and deliveries. Deliverables range from administrative IT systems to production and office support solutions, including critical industrial control systems.

“We are confident we have chosen the right provider. During the onboarding project, Embriq was proactive and highlighted critical activities that helped us prioritize and secure a successful delivery. Furthermore, key personnel were highly accessible—morning and evening—to ensure the migration was completed. This has continued even after go-live,” says Roger Ølstad, Project Manager at Protan.

Tailored Deliveries

Embriq provides Single Point of Contact (SPOC) services, meaning all inquiries from Protan’s end-users are handled and followed up until resolved. As a full-service IT provider, Embriq is also responsible for coordinating and managing third parties involved in the value chain to ensure a coherent service delivery.

It was critical to have the ability to prioritize effectively during the onboarding, especially given the limited documentation in our existing solutions. It was essential that Embriq stayed engaged, reported proactively, highlighted risks, and helped us prioritize the right actions. Embriq has also established an operational platform for Protan, ensuring a smooth transition to Embriq as the new provider. Through this platform, service and support levels are kept high, while Protan’s IT solutions are aligned with both current and future requirements.

Embriq operates Protan’s IT environment proactively, with the aim of addressing current needs while preparing the IT systems for future demands. This includes management and operation of clients (PCs and mobile devices), M365 administration, application operations, network management, and security services. By identifying and implementing modernization initiatives, Embriq enables Protan to operate efficiently and maintain its competitive edge.
